Professional Summary

As a Brooklyn New York Native and child of the ’80s, I was raised with the old Trinidadian mindset that nothing is impossible and hard work equals positive results. I am a published author, cartoonist, painter, spoken word performer, storyboard artist, scriptwriter, emcee, model, former combat Army vet, and a proud family man.

Graduating from the High School of Art and Design with aspirations of Film Making I've produced independent projects such as “Scandalous”, “Brain and Brawn” and “The Rumble Ensemble”. Two of my most notable music recordings include “Schizo-Phonetics; The Multi-Verse of Mahess” and “Battle Cry Hymns”.

My debut novel is entitled Sunjata, Book One: The Blood Wars. Sunjata is the hero we never knew we needed. He embodies strength, power, and righteousness. In 2014, the follow-up novel, Book Two: Weapons explores the concept of using anything as a weapon to advance one’s own objectives. Create Your Own Path; It All Begins In The Mind is the children's book for all ages. With vibrant-colorful artwork, the story tells the tale of a boy exploring his God-given abilities.

I've appeared on an episode of Sesame Street alongside my son, Tau Bennett, an accomplished puppeteer. In addition, I've performed in numerous presentations while serving as an Army Veteran in Operation Enduring Iraqi Freedom in Baghdad in 2004 and Arifjan Kuwait in 2009. My comic strip, O.N.E. appeared in the local Third Army Kuwait magazine called The Desert Voice.

As a Soldier, I volunteered my time to the local community youth centers and high schools as a mentor. This includes Physical Fitness, cartooning instructor, Tutoring, Problem Solving, and Community Service, just to name a few.
